Distributed Embedded Systems (CCS Labs)
Welcome to CCS Labs at Paderborn University.
The acronym CCS stands for Computer and Communication Systems, indicating our main research interest.
CCS Labs is coordinated by Falko Dressler and hosts the Chair for Distributed Embedded Systems as well as the Endowed Junior Professorship for Cooperative Mobile Systems.
We are also member of the Heinz Nixdorf Institute.
Our research objectives include adaptive wireless networking (radio, visible light, molecular communications) and embedded system design (from microcontroller to Linux kernel) with applications in ad hoc and sensor networks, the Internet of Things, and cooperative autonomous driving systems.
Our current projects focus on novel and innovative concepts for 5G/6G communication systems and digital smart cities of tomorrow, emphasizing on communication technologies and cooperative assistance systems.
