Short Bio

My name is Johannes Blobel and I am a research assistant at the Distributed Embedded Systems Group. I received my BSc and MSc in Computer Science from the University of Paderborn, in 2011 and 2014, respectively. My research focus lies on Wireless Sensor Networks and the utilization of Wake-up receivers to achieve communication with as little energy as possible.

Another interest of mine is the history of computers. In the winter term we offer the lecture HOC where we teach bachelor students the history of computer systems and give a retroprogramming course on the Commodore C64. In my spare time I also work for the Heinz Nixdorf Computer Museum in Paderborn.
