Julian Heinovski received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science (Informatik) from Paderborn University, Germany, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. In October 2018, he joined the Distributed Embedded Systems Group (CCS Labs) at Paderborn University as a researcher to work toward his PhD. His research interest is in cooperative driving, focused on platoon formation and vulnerable road user protection.
Julian is a student member of IEEE and ACM and serves as a reviewer for manuscripts in the field of vehicular networking. He has volunteered at the 27th ACM International Symposium on Mobile Ad Hoc Networking and Computing (MobiHoc 2016) and it's OWL Wissenschafts- und Industrieforum (WIF 2017) in 2016 and 2017, respectively. From May 2016 until December 2017, he was a (student) research assistant in the Distributed Embedded Systems Group (CCS Labs) at Paderborn University, where he received the Distinguished Student Award 2017.
