Abstract
To achieve effective dynamic routing, connected vehicles need to be supplied with timely, pertinent information about possible routes from other vehicles. A data dissemination protocol using shared route information, which is capable of providing accurate traffic state measurements is proposed. An initial experimental result analysing the protocol is presented, demonstrating that the protocol is capable of prioritizing route-related data for transmission.
