Description

This project aims at the development of assistance system functionalities to improve the safety of kids on bicycles using behavior prediction and wireless communication technologies.

(Ziel des Vorhabens Safety4Bikes ist es, modulare Assistenzsysteme für Radfahrer zu entwickeln, die auf Grundlage der aktuellen Verkehrssituation drohende Gefahren erkennen und auf das richtige Verhalten hinweisen. Bei akuten Gefahren in unmittelbarer Nähe oder in potenziellen Gefahrensituationen warnt das System über akustische, optische oder haptische Signale am Helm oder Lenker. Welche Form der Warnhinweise dazu am geeignetsten ist, wird im Projekt erforscht. Darüber hinaus soll eine Kommunikationsschnittstelle zu anderen Verkehrsteilnehmern die Sicherheit weiter verbessern.)
